News

Hi all,

Just a general email for those that don't have facebook of what is happening in the next few weeks.
For those that are interested in joining the facebook group, please look up MOYG (Melbourne Orthodox Youth Group)

Maslenitsa Slavic Pancake Festival

As some of you know the Maslenitsa festival is fast approaching on the 1st of February, and MOYG is coordinating with RERC to have youth involvement in the festival.

As some of you have already put your names out i thought i would remind them and invite other to join us in participating.
At the moment it seems we have made a decision to dress up in russian costumes and walk around the gardens encouraging public involvement through balalaika playing, singing and general chit chats, as well as participating in organised games.
Let me know if you are interested as there are volunteer forms to fill out and we will have to organise a time to go look at costumes/figure out which songs to sing.

Holy Ascension Christian Mission High Tea Fundraiser

I have been approached by Fr Kiril and he has asked me if any youth were interested in supporting his ROCOR English mission at an upcoming fundraiser.
Who's interested?!?!?!

MOYG Logo

MOYG finally has a logo again!
Thanks to Mark Woloszyn and his brother MOYG once again has a logo after the original was misplaced. After long deliberation and voting we have chosen the black and white logo for practical reasons and the gold will be used for special events.
